Chasetown Football Club, established in 1954, is a long-standing community football organisation based at The Scholars Ground in Burntwood, Staffordshire. Operating as a non-profit, volunteer-led club, Chasetown FC serves the wider Burntwood, Lichfield and Cannock Chase areas and now supports over 1,400 players and families across Staffordshire and the Midlands. The club provides inclusive football opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, running more than 85 teams ranging from grassroots to semi-professional level. These include men’s and women’s senior teams, youth teams, disability football, walking football, and dedicated mental health programmes.
Noel Sweeney played a huge part in Chasetown FC's history, serving as Club President until his passing in 2020. In his memory, we have continued to proudly support the club and have funded many community events hosted at the Scholars Ground.
More recently, we have funded their new sensory room which will provide a safe and calming environment for individuals and families who are autistic or have sensory processing needs, enabling them to experience and enjoy live football in a comfortable setting - all designed to reduce anxiety and create a positive matchday experience. This initiative will position Chasetown FC as one of the first non-league football clubs in the country to offer a dedicated sensory space, further strengthening its role as an inclusive community hub.
