We are proud to support the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal, helping to raise vital funds for serving and ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and their families.
Colleagues from across the group collectively volunteered 98 hours of their time, by collecting donations and offering poppy appeal merchandise to customers at the local Aldi supermarket.
On Friday 7th November, I had the pleasure of volunteering for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at Aldi, Burntwood. I covered the 2-4pm shift and it was extremely busy with school children and families passing through doing their weekly shop.
It was great chatting with people, particularly some of the ex-service people that passed through.
I would definitely do it again next year and would strongly encourage other members of the team to get involved.

Burntwood is on track to hit the £20,000 mark in donations for this year’s Poppy Appeal — the first time this has ever been achieved!!!!
